Dunk Low “Union – Passport Pack – Hyper Royal”

The Union x Nike Dunk Low “Hyper Royal” is a collaboration between Chris Gibbs’s Los Angeles fashion boutique and Nike on the vintage basketball shoe. Perhaps best known for its Air Jordan collaborations since the 2010s, Union LA—or just Union for short—is a longtime partner of Nike, having worked with the brand in various instances dating back to the early 2000s. Here, the “Hyper Royal” is one of three colorways of the Dunk from Union’s 2022 collaboration with Nike. The shoe features a gridded, ripstop-nylon-like material on its light blue upper. Each overlay is outlined in orange. A small yellow “UN/LA” hang tag appears on the lateral side of the midfoot overlay and the brand’s “Halo” skateboarding logo is found on the heel and the forefoot of the outsole. The shoe features additional hang tags that allude to baggage claim tags. Underfoot, a white rubber midsole is paired with an icy, semi-translucent outsole.
