VaporWaffle “Sacai – Sail”

The Sacai x Nike VaporWaffle “Sail” is a collaboration between Chitose Abe’s high-fashion brand and Nike on a casual lifestyle shoe that fuses elements of Nike’s VaporFly and Pegasus styles. The “Sail” edition of the VaporWaffle is one of multiple releases imagined by Sacai and Nike in 2021, and one of the pair’s most versatile designs yet. The base of the upper is constructed in lightweight white nylon. Sail suede and leather overlays appear on the upper, as well. In true Sacai and Nike fashion, the “Sail” adopts a “double” aesthetic that finds two Swooshes, dual tongues and laces, and a stacked, avant-garde-style foam midsole. Dual Sacai and Nike branding is found on the heel and classic “Nike Sportswear” and Swoosh branding appears on both nylon tongue tags.
